UMANG App Not Working? (UMANG App Down, Login Failure, or Outage)

Common Issues:

- UMANG app not opening, keeps crashing, or freezes on startup

- Cannot log in, receive OTP, or access your profile

- Error messages such as “Service Unavailable,” “Server Down,” or “Network Failure”

How to Fix:

- Update the UMANG app to the latest version from Google Play or Apple App Store.

- Restart your device and check your internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data must be stable).

- Clear cache and data for the UMANG app in device settings, or uninstall and reinstall the app.

- Try logging in after some time if errors persist, as there may be a temporary outage or server overload.

- If still not working, contact UMANG support via 1800 121 3468 or email umangfeedback@​digitalindia.​gov.​in.

Problems with UMANG Service Integration? (Third-Party Service Down or API Failure)

Symptoms:

- Specific government services (EPFO, Aadhaar, PAN, etc.) not loading or not working inside UMANG

- “Service Temporarily Unavailable” or “Failed to Fetch Data” messages

- Request not processed or stuck at “Pending”

How to Fix:

- Retry after a few minutes-sometimes third-party integrations may be experiencing temporary downtime due to maintenance or high traffic (“throttling”).

- Update the UMANG app and ensure you’re using the latest device OS.

- Try accessing the same government service from its dedicated portal to check if the issue is with UMANG or the source system.

- For prolonged disruptions, check UMANG’s social media or contact UMANG support for updates.

UMANG Payment or Transaction Not Working? (Payment Failure, Recharge Down, or Transaction Outage)

Possible Problems:

- Recharge, bill payment, or fee submission doesn’t go through

- Amount debited but service not activated or transaction not confirmed

- “Transaction Failed” or “Payment Gateway Down” errors

How to Fix:

- Verify payment status through your bank or wallet and confirm if amount was deducted.

- Wait 15–30 minutes and recheck transaction status in the UMANG app.

- For failed/delayed payments, note the transaction/reference number and contact UMANG support at umangfeedback@​digitalindia.​gov.​in.

- In case of an outage, use the respective service provider’s official website or app as an alternative.

UMANG Notification or OTP Not Working? (Notification Failure or OTP Down)

Symptoms:

- Not receiving important notifications, alerts, or OTPs for login/transactions

- OTP arrives with delay or not at all (“OTP Failure”)

How to Fix:

- Ensure your phone number is correctly registered and has network coverage.

- Check device settings to see if notifications from UMANG are enabled.

- Restart your phone and clear blocked/spam SMS lists.

- If the issue persists, request OTP again after some time or contact UMANG helpdesk.

UMANG Website Not Working? (Web Portal Outage or Down)

Common Issues:

- https://web.umang.gov.in/ does not load, is unresponsive, or certain services/features are not accessible

- Login not working or portal gives frequent errors

How to Fix:

- Try opening the UMANG portal in a different browser or device.

- Clear browser cache/cookies and ensure internet connectivity is stable.

- Wait for some time if there’s a maintenance announcement or known outage.
